Position summary

As Senior Packaging Paper Specialist, you will deliver packaging solutions, which fit to strategic objectives of company, specifically on the reducing environmental impacts and food waste, improving end-of-life scenario, and consumer functionality.

Senior candidates with clear leadership profile will also be considered for the position of the Head of the Packaging Department within the Packaging Institute.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Packaging Paper Specialist

  • Develop and Deliver fiber-based solutions on time
  • Define and provide input to technology roadmap and in the 5G I&R pipelines
  • Capture state-of-the-art technologies and materials. Develop external collaborations, build and maintain relationships with key partners and suppliers
  • Ensure mastery of core technologies, proactively deploy expert knowledge in R&D project
  • Provide effective and sustainable packaging solutions using Best-In-Class standards and specifications
  • Lead competence development in the field of expertise through training and/or mentoring
  • Actively participate in Expert Networks

What will make you successful

  • PhD in Packaging Technology/Paper Technology/Science/Engineering or related subject
  • High knowledge in the area of responsibility: Fiber-based packaging, paper converting, barrier technologies, recyclability
  • Externally recognized expertise
  • Industry experience within fiber-based packaging/pulp and paper industry
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written/oral)
